Facade restoration

Paris -

2024

This building is emblematic of 17th-century shop-houses with a height of 48 feet (approximately 15 metres). It bears witness to successive transformations from the 18th and 19th centuries, such as the replacement of tile roofs with zinc or the disappearance of the original masonry aprons.

Located in the Marais protected heritage district, the building is notable for its interior features, including a 17th-century staircase, floors, and timber frame.

In this context, the building's successive transformations have been preserved and the facades restored in a fresh plaster tone. The gable end benefited from external thermal insulation (ETI) using a lime-cork render compatible with historic fabric.
